No fue éste el caso directamente, pero sí indirectamente. Vincenzo Ricardo, de 70 años, murió por causas naturales en su casa frente al televisor, y ahí permaneció durante todo un año, todo un año frente al televisor. Vincenzo vivía solo ya que su esposa había muerto años antes, y al parecer durante todo ese tiempo nadie fue a visitarle por lo que, y nunca mejor dicho, murió solo.
La policía de Southampton acudió al lugar tras recibir un aviso de cañerías descompuestas, y entonces se encontraron con el fallecido sentado en una silla frente al televisor. Debido al aire seco de la casa, el cuerpo se había mantenido bastante bien tras un año, y aún era posible ver su rostro e incluso, aún tenía algo de cabello en la cabeza. ¿Moraleja? La televisión te ayuda a morir solo.
